Music film ‘Mongolbarota’ to hit Dhruba Music on Bengali New Year 1429
Music film "Mongolbarota" featuring renowned Tagore exponent Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, popular singer Shwapnil Shojib and 50 chorus singers, is set to hit Dhruba Music Station on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1429.
The project will be a concoction of popular Rabindra Sangeet "Sokatore Oi Kadiche Sokole" and English poet and Anglican clergyman John Newton's hymn "Amazing Grace", said a press release.

Young Rabindra Sangeet singer Shwapnil Shojib said that classic songs can once again be popularised among music lovers, especially the younger generations, through improvisation.
‘We should consider covering Rabindra, Nazrul and other classic songs, keeping the original tune and lyric intact, in such a way that appeals to the younger generations. This can lead to a resurgence of classic songs,’ Shojib told New Age.

Shwapnil Shojib’s new music video marking Tagore’s death anniversary
Singer Shwapnil Shojib is going to bring out a unique music video in collaboration with famous Baul singer Shofi Mandol titled ‘Praner Manush Moner Manush’ to mark the 80th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
The music video will be released on August 5 on Shwapnil Foundation’s YouTube channel. Directed by Yamin Elan and rearranged by Sharif Sumon Ghuddy and Rizvi Rahman Adit, the music video has been edited by Shuvro while the video is being produced by Shwapnil Foundation.
